Treatment for Varicose Veins and Arterial Conditions

This site has been designed to provide information to help prospective patients understand more about the options available in the field of vascular and endovascular surgery.

In venous disease the advent of less invasive surgical procedures such as (UGS) ultrasound guided sclerotherapy and endovenous laser ablation of varicose veins has meant the largest part of any decision making as to how to be rid of varicose veins now depends on the understanding the options and their relative benefits and drawbacks. You will find extensive factual information so that you are well prepared to make an appropriate decision about the treatment for your varicose veins, whether they be large and ropey veins or spider veins.

In the areas of arterial surgery you will discover information explaining basic procedures and short animated clips to get a clear understanding of endovascular techniques that are used to treat aortic and thoracic aneurysms.

At Melbourne Vascular the objective is to combined a surgical consultation by Mr William Campbell and diagnostic non invasive vascular tests that are required which can be performed at the same visit at Melbourne Vascular Diagnostics. A decision on treatment can often be made at the same visit thereby reducing additional visits to an absolute minimum.
